I can help with that!
I will work with you to craft the best possible experience for the event you are looking to host at your location.
Some simple questions up front.
1. What is the event?
2. How many people?
3. Do you have a theme in mind?
(no big deal if you do not)
4. How many different whiskys are you looking to taste?
5. I can source the whisky for you and bring to the event.
6. Do you have glasses or do you need to rent them?
7. Are you planning any food pairings? If so, what?
From here, I can craft an event that includes a small visual presentation, which will lead the participants through each bottle. Together, we will learn a bit about the whisky and how it's made, where it's made and what the distillers think you should be tasting and smelling. East person will get a customized tasting placemat that details all of the whiskys' specifications.
Most tastings are comprised of 3 to 6 different whisky samples of 1 fluid ounce each.

I began my whisky journey over 35 years ago. I was working for a software company and my client was a company that represented a number of different alcohol brands. It was here that I came to try Johnnie Walker Red and Black Label scotch whisky. Not long after I became aware of this thing called Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The long slippery slope began. Today, I still have place in my heart for Johnnie Walker Red. But in my glass, I look for something a little more. I have an extensive personal collection - mostly Scotch Whisky.
I have received a Certificate in Scotch Whisky from the Edinburgh Whisky Academy. What I have learned through that process I share with those that join me at my whisky tastings. It's not all boring lecture however, I like to have fun while we are doing it.
I also try to make my sessions as interactive as possible. Don't be shy to ask a question. There are no stupid questions. Chances are, your question was already on someone else's mind.
Finally, I also like to say that the best whisky is the whisky you like to drink, how you like to drink it. So, if you do not like to drink a cask strength Islay whisky neat (without ice or water), then that is fine. No one will think badly on you. Only you know what you like.
